About

The Concept

Kei (系) is a Japanese suffix roughly translating to “style”. Many fashion styles have this suffix added on, such as Fairy-Kei, Jirai-Kei, and more.

Atelier is the French word for an artist’s workshop.

At Kei Atelier, I hope you can find nails that suit your style and make you smile ♡

The Artist

My name is Kya (any pronouns) and I'm a 22 year old college student that also works part time. I love dressing in Ryousangata and Himekaji, and making cute nails that match my outfits! I hope I can create nails that you love, and can coordinate with your outfits as well, complimenting your unique fashion style!

The Art

Kei Atelier nails are inspired by Japanese fashion styles like Ryousangata 量産型 , Jirai-Kei 地雷, Himekaji 姫カジ, and Gyaru ギャル, and the types of nail designs that are worn within those fashion subcultures. Bejeweled, glittery nails with cute hand painted designs and patterns, adorned with bows, hearts, and jewels are especially popular!

The Work

Every nail set is made with love and attention to detail for around 2 hours at my desk. The nails are shaped, buffed and prepped for polish, then hand painted with quality Korean and Japanese gels. 3D art pieces are securely glued on, and once the nails are all cured and finished, they're wiped down with alcohol and cleanly packaged with care ♡
